 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said. SAD: Student dr0wns during swimming expedition in Abia State
.

 Abia Poly student and only son of his parents drowned in a River in Umuahia while swimming. 

A young man, Chidera Keneth, believed to be a student of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, has drowned in the Umuchime River in Umuahia.

The student, who was said to be the only male child of his parents, drowned in the river, the weekend while trying to ‘cool off’ during a hot afternoon, with some of his friends who came with him for a swimming expedition.

According to the report, gathered that Chidera did not understand the tide and depth of the river before jumping in to swim.
