 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. TROOPS RAID BANDITS HIDEOUT IN ZAMFARA STATE 



The Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD), North West have destroyed the hideout of a notorious bandit kingpin, Dogo Gide killing three and recovering military uniforms, riffles, among others.

A source disclosed that during the operation conducted by troops of OPHD, the notorious Bandits kingpin Dogo Gide narrowly escaped death with serious gunshot injuries, his foot soldiers were on the run while his hideouts were discovered and destroyed.

Another source spoke to Radio Nigeria correspondent that, the troops also destroyed the terrorist's enclaves at Dansadau, Mai Tukunya and Babban Doka villages which have been the hideouts for Dogo Gide in Zamfara state. 
 
According to the sources items recovered from the Dogo Gide’s house include,tailoring machines for sewing various military and other security agencies uniforms, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), a mini pharmacy suspected to be used for treatment of wounded terrorists, 5 operational Motorcycles which were set ablaze.

He said the gallant Troops of the OPHD further advanced for aggression against the terrorist bandits and cleared Malele, Mutunji, Kwana, Kamatso, Kememe, Kango villages being used as hideouts for the terrorists in Zamfara state.

Similarly, the troops also discovered and cleared bandits hideouts at Koli, Bakin Dutse and Farin Ruwa villages were 4 Motorcycles and mobile phones used by the terrorists discovered and destroyed instantly.

In a related development, three police officers were killed at a checkpoint some few meters along Tsafe -Funtua road.

Any eye witness who escaped the bandits attack while in his farm, said the bandits come on their bikes and ambushed the police officers who were on duty at the checkpoint killing three while the driver and the state police were narrowly escaped the attack.
