 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him. WE'LL FOCUS MORE ON LINK ROADS IN 2024 – WORKS COMMISSIONER


Ogun State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya has assured that the ministry will embark more on the construction of state link roads in 2024 in response to the directive of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

 Engr. Akinsanya stated this while speaking at the Treasury Board Meeting on Year 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and the 2024 Budget, held at Obas' Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The Commissioner said the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has directed his Ministry to focus on the roads that connected the State to neighbouring Lagos and other States, listing such roads as Ota, Ijoko, Lanbe, Akute, Lafenwa, among others, adding that all ongoing road projects in the three senatorial districts, as well as the Agro Cargo Airport, Isiun- Owode road, Sagamu/Iperu to Sapaade and Atan, Lusada, Agbara, roads would be deliver in due course.

The Commissioner assured the citizens that their expectations of good roads would be met, adding that proper budget consideration has been made for provision of standard road infrastructure by the State Government.

Engr. Akinsanya stated that all the 20 Local Government Chairmen have been directed to submit the list of some roads to be rehabilitated in their various Councils, to ensure no council is left out on the provision of road infrastructure.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
