 ANAMBRA SHMB WARNS HEALTH INFORMATION OFFICERS OVER LATE REPORTS, REITERATES 7TH-DAY DEADLINE By Ebele Egoh The Anambra State Hospital Management Board (SHMB) has urged Health Information Management Officers to ensure accurate medical records, timely data submission and strict protection of patients’ confidential information to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. The Director of Medical Support Services of the Board, Mrs Nneka Uzor, gave the call during a meeting and training session for health information personnel held on Oct. 9 at the SHMB conference hall. Mrs Uzor stressed that maintaining complete medical records and safeguarding patients’ information are essential professional responsibilities, cautioning  the officers against disclosing sensitive health information to unauthorised persons and urged them to uphold the highest standards of confidentiality. Princewill  Edurance  Uchendu has committed su!c!de at his father's compound in Ovogo, Emohua LGA.

The sad Incident happened on Sunday, 12th of November 2023.


Newsmen learnt that the deceased on Wednesday, the previous week, jumped into a well in their compound; he was later rescued by few persons around the compound.


Unfortunately, he later hanged himself on a tree at the back of the compound.


"Sachets of Chelsea were also seen close to where he was washing clothes that same day before hanging himself" the community people told Newsmen
