 MISSING CHILDREN SAFELY RETURNED TO WANNUNE AFTER ABDUCTION ATTEMPT Relief and jubilation swept through the IF Academy settlement in Wannune, Tarka LGA of Benue State, as children who went missing last October have been safely reunited with their families.   According to Timothy Chusa, who reported the incident to Benue Info-pedia, the children were taken by a Tiv girl to Nasarawa State, where she resides. Community members revealed that the suspect had allegedly planned to sell the children. However, before the plan could be executed, information reached Wannune, prompting swift intervention.   Faced with mounting pressure, the suspect was compelled to return the children unharmed. 12 YEAR OLD DIES AFTER ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTING HIMSELF IN ALABAMA ON CHRISTMAS EVE. (PHOTO).

12 year old dies after accidentally shooting himself in Alabama on Christmas Eve.

According to police reports they responded to the call around 5 pm on Christmas Eve on Pike Road in Birmingham.

Once on scene, they discovered the child suffering from a gunshot wound in a nearby alley.

Police believe the child was visiting a friend when he took the weapon from a car before accidentally shooting himself while handling it. The young boy was transported to Children of Alabama hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Everyone involved is cooperating fully with police and it appears to be a tragic accident. This is the second child to die by accidental shooting in Birmingham this week after a 3-year-old allegedly shot himself on Thursday with a gun he found in the home.
