 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. 12 YEAR OLD DIES AFTER ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTING HIMSELF IN ALABAMA ON CHRISTMAS EVE. (PHOTO).

12 year old dies after accidentally shooting himself in Alabama on Christmas Eve.

According to police reports they responded to the call around 5 pm on Christmas Eve on Pike Road in Birmingham.

Once on scene, they discovered the child suffering from a gunshot wound in a nearby alley.

Police believe the child was visiting a friend when he took the weapon from a car before accidentally shooting himself while handling it. The young boy was transported to Children of Alabama hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Everyone involved is cooperating fully with police and it appears to be a tragic accident. This is the second child to die by accidental shooting in Birmingham this week after a 3-year-old allegedly shot himself on Thursday with a gun he found in the home.
