 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. 12 YEAR OLD DIES AFTER ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTING HIMSELF IN ALABAMA ON CHRISTMAS EVE. (PHOTO).

12 year old dies after accidentally shooting himself in Alabama on Christmas Eve.

According to police reports they responded to the call around 5 pm on Christmas Eve on Pike Road in Birmingham.

Once on scene, they discovered the child suffering from a gunshot wound in a nearby alley.

Police believe the child was visiting a friend when he took the weapon from a car before accidentally shooting himself while handling it. The young boy was transported to Children of Alabama hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Everyone involved is cooperating fully with police and it appears to be a tragic accident. This is the second child to die by accidental shooting in Birmingham this week after a 3-year-old allegedly shot himself on Thursday with a gun he found in the home.
