A MICHIGAN POLICE OFFICER RESCUED AN ELDERLY WOMAN FROM A BURNING PICKUP TRUCK IN MACOMB COUNTY.(PHOTO)..


A Michigan police officer, Cameron Rieper, rescued an elderly woman from a burning pickup truck in Macomb County.

The incident occurred late Saturday night. The officer responded to the reports of the vehicle on fire in a street median.

Officer Rieper, who has experience as a firefighter, immediately approached the vehicle as the flames spread to the engine compartment and bed area.

The woman was suffering from smoke inhalation and had grabbed her steering wheel while the officer was trying to remove her safely from the vehicle.

Good job, Officer Rieper.
