 PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PROBES VIRAL VIDEO ALLEGING ASSAULT OF WOMAN; DELTA STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE ORDERS INVESTIGATION The Delta State Police Command is aware of a viral video circulating on X and other social media platforms alleging that some police officers assaulted a woman and subjected her to over forty strokes of cane. The video captures the victim narrating her ordeal. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command has directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the allegations. Preliminary steps have commenced to verify the circumstances surrounding the incident and to establish the identities of the officers involved. The matter has been referred to the appropriate investigative unit for discreet handling, while efforts are ongoing to ensure that all personnel implicated are identified and brought to account.  AFCON 2023: Nike unveils Super Eagles Eagles jersey


Leading kit manufacturing company, Nike has unveiled the Super Eagles’ kits for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.


The home jersey is designed in Nigeria’s green and white colour.


The away jersey is designed with a white background and a touch of green.


The Super Eagles are looking to win a fourth title at the 2023 AFCON finals.


Jose Peseiro’s side are drawn in Group A with hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.


The West Africans will kick-off their campaign on January 14 against Equatorial Guinea at the Alssanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.


They face hosts Cote d’Ivoire four days later at the same venue in what will be a repeat of the 2013 edition quarter-final that saw them overcome Cote d’Ivoire 2-1.


They conclude the Group A campaign with a tie against Guinea-Bissau on January 22.
