 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. ALFADARAI ATTENDS 17TH ANNUAL TOWN HALL MEETING OF LAGOS STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND.


The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai MFR, fdc, mnim, mpa, fisn, fcss attended, the 17th annual town hall meeting of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund ( LSSTF ), yesterday, Tuesday, 12th December, 2023, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo - Olu was present at the meeting amidst other disguised guests such as the Minister of State Police Affairs, Chairman of the Board of LSSTF, Executives, service commanders of federal services, heads of security formations in the state, cooperate institutions and well meaning Nigerians, who identified with the Fund in a bid to pledge both their financial commitment and intellectual expertise towards a safer Lagos.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
