 PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PROBES VIRAL VIDEO ALLEGING ASSAULT OF WOMAN; DELTA STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE ORDERS INVESTIGATION The Delta State Police Command is aware of a viral video circulating on X and other social media platforms alleging that some police officers assaulted a woman and subjected her to over forty strokes of cane. The video captures the victim narrating her ordeal. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command has directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the allegations. Preliminary steps have commenced to verify the circumstances surrounding the incident and to establish the identities of the officers involved. The matter has been referred to the appropriate investigative unit for discreet handling, while efforts are ongoing to ensure that all personnel implicated are identified and brought to account. Charles Okocha seeks rematch following boxing match defeat.

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has called for the total cancellation of his recent ring fight with Nigerian singer Portable, citing alleged cheating and an inexperienced referee.

Recall that Charles Okocha lost to Portable in a recent match that occurred on the 26th of December.

Portable was declared the winner by the referee’s decision, meeting the requirements to emerge victorious in the boxing match.

Shortly after the result announcement, Charles Okocha expressed grievances against the referee and the match organizers, alleging that Portable removed his boxing gloves during the third round, an action that should have led to immediate disqualification.

In a post on his social media page, he said, “How can you give up in the 3rd round when we have 4 rounds? How do you take off your gloves in the third round, leading to total disqualification when the fight hasn’t ended?”

“Y’all know this was rigged, with an incompetent referee who knows nothing about boxing rules. Nevertheless, we move on. Rematch coming soon.”
