 Property Scam: EFCC Hands Over N84 million to Businessman The Benin Zonal Directorate, EEFCC on Friday September 25, 2026 handed over a draft of N84 million to Ekhahon Abraham, being the sum recovered by operatives of the Commission from one Anita Eborome. Abraham was  defrauded of the said sum by  Eboreme under the pretence of selling an expanse of land measuring 115ft by 135ft to him in one community in Edo State. Abraham said after making  payment, he erected a parameter fence on the land but it was pulled down by a man who claimed to the be rightful owner. Based on that incident, he sought for a refund of his money but met a brick wall as Eborome came evasive hence he was advised to petition the Commission.  During investigation, it was discovered that Abraham transferred the money to Eborome but she diverted the money for her personal use. DRC opens major financial centre built by Turkish firm


DRC has opened a major financial centre in the capital Kinshasa built by Turkish firm, Milvest.


In an effort to promote the country's economy, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has launched a major financial centre in the capital Kinshasa.


The Kinshasa Financial Center is strategically located in Gombe district, western DRC.


The construction of 11 buildings in a165,000-square metre area started in February 2022, and was completed in December 2023.


The design and construction of the modern building has been done by Turkish construction company Milvest, a subsidiary of Miller Holding.


Record time


The foundation stone was laid in June 2022. It has taken Turkish engineers one-and-a-half years to complete the major project.


At least 3,000 workers, including 1,500 Congolese and 1,500 Turks, have worked on the construction.


If it was one of the dreams of President Felix Tshisekedi to build DRC, and place it in a unique position globally, the dream has been achieved after opening the financial centre.


When the centre officially starts operations, 5,000 people are expected to work at the facility.
