 Former U.S. President Joe Biden's son, Hunter says he’s ‘48 percent gay’ Hunter Biden, the 56-year-old son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, made lighthearted comments regarding his personal life and sexuality during an appearance on The Luke Beasley Show podcast. In the interview, host Luke Beasley questioned Biden about his orientation. Biden responded in a humorous vein, offering precise, lighthearted estimates of his sexuality. "Only a little bit," Biden remarked during the exchange, before jokingly quantifying the figure at "48.6 percent." During the 90-minute episode, Beasley presented Biden with an AI-generated image depicting the two in a physical embrace, prompting Biden to joke about his past years of substance abuse prior to his recovery in 2019. DRC opens major financial centre built by Turkish firm


DRC has opened a major financial centre in the capital Kinshasa built by Turkish firm, Milvest.


In an effort to promote the country's economy, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has launched a major financial centre in the capital Kinshasa.


The Kinshasa Financial Center is strategically located in Gombe district, western DRC.


The construction of 11 buildings in a165,000-square metre area started in February 2022, and was completed in December 2023.


The design and construction of the modern building has been done by Turkish construction company Milvest, a subsidiary of Miller Holding.


Record time


The foundation stone was laid in June 2022. It has taken Turkish engineers one-and-a-half years to complete the major project.


At least 3,000 workers, including 1,500 Congolese and 1,500 Turks, have worked on the construction.


If it was one of the dreams of President Felix Tshisekedi to build DRC, and place it in a unique position globally, the dream has been achieved after opening the financial centre.


When the centre officially starts operations, 5,000 people are expected to work at the facility.
