 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband. DRC opens major financial centre built by Turkish firm


DRC has opened a major financial centre in the capital Kinshasa built by Turkish firm, Milvest.


In an effort to promote the country's economy, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has launched a major financial centre in the capital Kinshasa.


The Kinshasa Financial Center is strategically located in Gombe district, western DRC.


The construction of 11 buildings in a165,000-square metre area started in February 2022, and was completed in December 2023.


The design and construction of the modern building has been done by Turkish construction company Milvest, a subsidiary of Miller Holding.


Record time


The foundation stone was laid in June 2022. It has taken Turkish engineers one-and-a-half years to complete the major project.


At least 3,000 workers, including 1,500 Congolese and 1,500 Turks, have worked on the construction.


If it was one of the dreams of President Felix Tshisekedi to build DRC, and place it in a unique position globally, the dream has been achieved after opening the financial centre.


When the centre officially starts operations, 5,000 people are expected to work at the facility.
