 RE: MISLEADING CLAIMS REGARDING EXTORTION OF MOTORISTS BY LAGOS STATE TASKFORCE – YET-TO-BE-IDENTIFIED SECURITY OPERATIVES: ANOTHER CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY The Lagos State Taskforce wishes to address a misleading narrative circulating on social media, particularly in a viral video shared by protesters and concerned groups who recently demonstrated at the Lagos State House of Assembly. The protest was in response to the alleged extortion of motorists by security operatives, yet to be identified, who are not officials of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit. We categorically state that the Lagos State Taskforce had no involvement in the said incident. Egypt's Super Cup semifinal decided with 34 penalty kicks

The match ended 0-0 by the end of regulation time before the penalty rounds, which saw players take the spot twice.

The Egyptian Super Cup semi-final match between Modern Future and Pyramids took a nerve-shredding twist when it took 34 penalty kicks to decide a winner.

Future won the game 14–13 on Monday December 25 after it ended 0-0 by the end of regulation time.

The penalty rounds saw players take the spot twice.

Pyramids defender Osama Galal lost two penalty shots, including the decisive one that sealed the victory for Future.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
