  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. FG Unveils New Foreign Policy


Federal Government has unveiled its Four D foreign policy document in Abuja.


At the launch, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar said the new foreign policy document was aimed at showcasing the values and interests of Nigeria.


Ambassador Tuggar said the four Ds foreign policy document which centered on Democracy, Development, Demography and Diaspora were aimed at enhancing good governance and improving the living standard of the people through development.


He explained that the Four Ds foreign policy direction of the Tinubu-led government would take advantage of the nation’s population as well as the Africa Continental Free Trade Area to enhance economic development in the country.


The Minister of Foreign Affairs said the policy would also look into the need to reform Nigeria’s engagement with international financial institutions for the benefit if all.
