Former Nasarawa Accountant General, Mallam Dauda Egwa is dead


Mallam Dauda Egwa, a former Accountant-General of Nasarawa State, is dead.

A family member, Usman Ibrahim, confirmed that Egwa passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, December 26, at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) after a prolonged illness.

Mallam Dauda Egwa served as the Accountant-General of Nasarawa State during the administration of the late Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma.

Following Islamic traditions, Mallam Dauda Egwa has already been laid to rest in Lafia, the state capital.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
