According to sources, Chelle is considering terminating his contract as the team's manager. The development comes amidst Nigeria's struggles to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With only seven points from six games, the Super Eagles are currently fourth in Group C, behind leaders South Africa, Rwanda, and Benin Republic. Pressure has been mounting on Chelle, prompting him to travel to Europe in search of reinforcements to bolster the team's defense. However, the uncertainty surrounding his future with the team has reportedly led to a change of heart, with Chelle now considering terminating his contract. Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe trembled while narrating her near-death experience on her way from Benin to Lagos state.

The Nollywood actress took to social media to recount a scary experience of how their car almost had an accident while they were driving down from Benin where she went for Meet and Greet for her new movie, Ada Omo Daddy.

She reveleaed that the car was at top speed when the car tyre suddenly bursted. She stated that everything else that followed really scared her.

A video she shared on her Instagram page showed the car tyre completely ruined.

She wrote:

ā€œALHAMDULILAH šŸ™

To God be all the Glory!!!!

The scariest Day of my life! My car tyre bursted while we were on top speed on our way back to lagos from Benin (where i went for Meet and Greet for my movie) God i have never been this scared! An horrific experience! Screams! Panic! Fear! Prayers! It is such a terrible experience šŸ„¹šŸ„¹šŸ„¹

But i give God the glory for saving us šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™ā€

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. ā€œThe Appellant was set up.
