 Thugs Break Into Mortuary in Nzhelele, allegedly stole equipment An elderly security guard was brutally attacked during a break-in at Luvhani Mortuary in Nzhelele, Limpopo, on Friday. According to reports, unknown suspects assaulted the guard with a pick handle and an axe. He sustained serious injuries to his head and legs and was rushed to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. The suspects allegedly stole equipment from the mortuary before fleeing the scene. Police have opened a case and are appealing to the public for any information that could help identify and arrest the suspects.

 Lagos State Government Seals RCCG Parish, Other Churches, Mosques, Hotels Over Noise Pollution


The Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Lagos State government has sealed a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ifelodun Mosque and several other churches and worship centres in the state over noise pollution.


The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who made this known on Thursday on his X handle said that the worship centres were sealed on Wednesday for also committing other environmental infractions.


The Commissioner further identified other facilities sealed by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) to include Avro Supermarket, hotels, Euphoria Night Club, Lady B Gold Bar, Mainland Leisure View Hotel, amongst others.


Wahab said that ā€œIfelodun Mosque, Children of God Healings Deliverance and Adoration Ministry, City of Testimony Church, Cherubim & Seraphim (Ayo ni), Station of Relief Christ Ministry, Redeemed Christian Church of God (Sanctuary of Favour), Euphoria Night Club, Mainland Leisure View Hotel, House 46 Hotel and Suites, Selino Hotel, Lady B Gold Bar, Da-Villa Hotel, Perch Hotel & Suites, and Avro Supermarket were yesterday sealed by the LASEPA official enforcement team over noise pollution and other environmental infractions.ā€


SaharaReporters had also on October 10 reported that the Lagos State government sealed churches, event centres and other establishments in the Lagos Island, Ojudu, Ogba, Magodo, and Ikosi areas of the state over alleged noise pollution.
