 Carrick favourite for Man Utd caretaker role Michael Carrick has emerged as favourite to be appointed Manchester United caretaker head coach, according to sources close to the process. Club chiefs are hoping to have an appointment in place for when players return to training on Wednesday. While a final decision is yet to be reached, talks are said to have progressed with the 44-year-old over the position. Carrick previously had a three-game stint as United's temporary boss following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021. He won two and drew one of those matches but left after Ralf Rangnick's arrival as interim manager. Solskjaer held face-to-face discussions with the club on Saturday about a return. United sacked Ruben Amorim as manager after 14 months in the job on 5 January. LASU FIRST CLASS GRADUATE EMERGES OVERALL BEST QUALIFYING STUDENT IN NIGERIA AT ICAN EXAMINATION


In what is another win for Lagos State University, a recent graduate of the institution, Marcus Oreoluwa Akinmade, has emerged as the Overall Best Qualifying Candidate in Nigeria at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) May 2023 Diet Examination. 

The graduate of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences of the University, cleared all five (5) papers in one sitting, scoring the overall average highest among all the candidates that took the professional examinations. 

Little wonder, Akinmade was the star at the just concluded 72nd Induction Ceremony of the Institute, which was held on Tuesday, 5th December 2023, as he received three awards for his uncommon feat. The awards included; the ICAN Merit Prize for 1st Overall Professional Level, the Akintola Williams Deloitte and Touche Prize for Best Qualifying Candidate in a Diet; and the Comfort Olujumoke Eyitayo Prize for Best Qualifying Male Candidate in a Diet. The awards were presented by the ICAN president, Dr. Innocent Okwuosa, FCA.

Akinmade graduated from the Lagos State University with First Class Honours on a CGPA of 4.76 in the 2020/2021 Academic Session. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, congratulates Oreoluwa and notes that the University is proud of his feat.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
