 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. MAN ARRESTED IN ADAMAWA FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING COURT CLERK WHO WENT TO SERVE HIM WITH COURT SUMMONS. (PHOTO).

Man arrested in Adamawa for allegedly ki!ling court clerk who went to serve him with court summons

The police in Adamawa state have arrested a 43 year old man identified as Linus Dimas, a resident of Kugama Wuro Jibir, Mayo Belwa Local Government, for allegedly k!lling a court clerk who went to serve him a court summon. 

In a statement released, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, says on December 18, the suspect rejected the court summons served to him from Yauba Usman, a staff of Nasarawo Jereng Area Court and st&bbed him with a kni!e severally thereby inflicting deep cuts on him.

Nguroje said the court clerk was immediately rushed to Hospital but was confirmed d£ad.

He added that the state Commissioner of Police has directed that the case be discreetly investigated.
