 Umueri Crisis Claim: False, Election to Hold April 8 - Says Anambra East Mayor By Nwegbo Ifeanyi  The Anambra East LG Chairman, Hon. Ifeanyi Chinweze, has denied allegations of a leadership crisis in Umueri General Assembly, calling the statement from Ikenga Umueri Unity Forum " false and misleading. Addressing journalists, Chinweze said Umueri is peaceful, with town union elections scheduled for April 8, 2026. He claimed Ikenga Umueri Unity Forum, which issued the statement, is actually frustrating the election with selfish motives.  He distanced himself, PG Chief John Metchie, and electoral committee chairman Barr. Eugene Aghaebe from the allegations, saying they were innocent. The controversy arose after Chinweze insisted Ikenga should not hold key positions like, Secretary, and Vice President simultaneously since they have president general, considering Umueri's three quarters (Ezi, Ikenga, and Invite). My boyfriend broke up with me after I contracted COVID-19 – Julie Adenuga

British-Nigerian media personality, Julie Adenuga has recounted how her boyfriend broke up with her for contracting COVID-19.

She said she informed her partner after testing positive for the virus and he called her that same evening to break up with her while she was lying sick.

The North London-born radio host spoke in a recent episode of the Madame Joyce podcast.

She said, “I was in a relationship for a long time where I knew it wasn’t the right one but I thought it might be the best I am going to get. So, I decided to keep it going for as long as possible.

“I got COVID-19 and the day that I found out I had COVID-19, my boyfriend broke up with me. I was mad that day. I sent him a picture of my test result. And that evening, he called me that he was breaking up with me.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
