 Chawai Community Appeals To Gov. Uba Sani For Relief, Medical Support After Deadly Kauru Attack The people of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide urgent relief and medical assistance to victims of the deadly attack on Naridon village in Kamaru Ward. In an open letter addressed to the governor, the community commended his leadership, describing his administration as inclusive and fair. They said this had given residents confidence that every community in the state is valued. The community, however, expressed concern over what it described as the lack of government intervention following the attack on Naridon village, in which it said 30 people were killed. According to the letter, many survivors and families of the victims are still struggling with grief, trauma, displacement, and the challenges of caring for those injured in the attack. Obasanjo, Obi Attend Chimamanda Adichie's Children's Book Launch 

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, graced the launch of a children's book written by notable author, Chimamanda Adichie, on Friday. 

Obi shared photos from the event on his X page on Saturday. 

According to him, the event held in Lagos on Friday, and was well attended by notable Nigerians. 

Obi partly wrote, "Yesterday, I joined other very respected Nigerians at a remarkable event aimed at improving the reading culture of Nigerian children. 

"The event which attracted notable personalities like President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed, Prof Hakeem Bello-Osagie, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, Bella Disu, Ndidi Nwuneli, Chimamanda's husband, Ivara Esege, and others, was the unveiling of a children's book authored by my very dear sister and global icon, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. 

"The children's book titled, 'Mama's Sleeping Scarf,' was presented at the event tagged, 'Christmas Magic' in Lagos. The motive of the author was to help reinforce the reading culture among Nigerians, especially the youth and children." 

The celebrated author is known for her literary pieces like 'Purple Hibiscus,' 'Americanah,' and 'Half Of A Yellow Sun,' among others.
