  Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the pastor of Christ Embassy, has blamed the Covid-19 vaccine for the death of Pope Francis.  Oyakhilome said that when the coronavirus vaccines came out, Pope Francis was one of those who encouraged people to take the vaccine and he also took it to serve as an example.     The pastor, who has made no secret his distrust for the Covid-19 vaccine, added that he was against the pontiff's stance on taking the vaccine.    He stated that since the Pope took the vaccine, he has been sick and in and out of hospital.  "He was killed by the vaccine," Oyakhilome said boldly. Ogun Corps Members Become Landowners For Winning Pageantry

Two corps members deployed to Ogun State, Omowo Favour and Esther Aderutu, have become land owners after winning a pageantry competition held at the orientation camp in Sagamu.

Photos from the event were shared on the official Facebook page of the National Youth Service Corps, Ogun State, on Saturday.

The photos were captioned, "The duo of .Omowo Emmanuel Favour OG/23C/2580 and Esther Fasina Aderutu OG/23C/1590 who represented Platoon 10 at the Ankara Couples Night organised by NYSC Ogun State for the 2023 Batch C stream two Corps Members deployed to the State are now proud land owners for winning the pageantry as both of them got 150 square meter of land #25,000 each.

"The event sponsored by Adbond Homes which was held at the parade ground of the Sagamu Orientation Camp is meant to promote Nigeria's rich dress culture with the Ankara fabric. 

"Speaking at the event while also adorning the Ankara attire in a colourful style, the State Coordinator, Mrs Nasamu Olayinka Diana, enjoined the Corps Members not to deviate from our cultural values, adding that they should maintain all the inherent traditional values such as; dressing, language, respect and many more as it relates to the Nigerian culture. 

"At the end of the event, the two representatives of platoon 4 who came second got a Table Top Gas Cooker each as prize while Platoon 9 representatives got a pressing Iron each for coming 3rd.".

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
