  Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the pastor of Christ Embassy, has blamed the Covid-19 vaccine for the death of Pope Francis.  Oyakhilome said that when the coronavirus vaccines came out, Pope Francis was one of those who encouraged people to take the vaccine and he also took it to serve as an example.     The pastor, who has made no secret his distrust for the Covid-19 vaccine, added that he was against the pontiff's stance on taking the vaccine.    He stated that since the Pope took the vaccine, he has been sick and in and out of hospital.  "He was killed by the vaccine," Oyakhilome said boldly. Osinbajo, Wife, Condoles With Akeredolu's Family 

Former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and his wife, Dolapo, on Thursday, expressed condolences to the family of the former Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who died on Wednesday.

In a post on his X handle, the ex-VP wrote, "Dolly and I express our sincere condolence to Her Excellency Betty Akeredolu, children, family, friends, associates of HE Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu #rotimiaketi and the government and people of Ondo State on his passing. 

"I have lost a brother and friend of over 40 years. 

"Aketi was bold, courageous, forthright, fair-minded, kind and God fearing. He firmly believed in our democracy, justice, and the rule of law. He loved the people of Ondo State and was passionate about their security and economic advancement.

"We pray that the Almighty God will comfort the family and people of Ondo State on this great loss. Amen. Sun re o Aketi Baba!"

Akeredolu died on Wednesday morning at the age of 67 while undergoing treatment for prostate cancer in a German hospital.

The acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was also sworn in as the substantive governor on Wednesday, following the death of the governor.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
