NEW ECOWAS COMMISSION PRESIDENT GEN BIRAME DIOP ASSUMES OFFICE The new President of the ECOWAS Commission, General Birame Diop, has  assumed office. General Diop, a former Senegalese Minister of Defence and former Chief of the General Staff of the Senegalese Armed Forces, was appointed by the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government at its 69th Ordinary Summit in Sierra Leone. He succeeds Dr. Omar Alieu Touray of The Gambia, whose four-year tenure as President of the ECOWAS Commission has come to an end. The new ECOWAS Commission President Diop has promised to provide strategic leadership as the organisation works to strengthen regional integration, peace and security, economic cooperation and institutional effectiveness. Rivers crisis: Court declares Fubara’s ally, Ehie, authentic Speaker

A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Tuesday, confirmed Edison Ehie as the authentic Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly.

Ehie is one of the four lawmakers backing Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the ongoing face-off between him and his immediate predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

Edison was suspended and removed as leader of the House by his colleagues who are loyal to Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Giving the ruling, Justice M.W. Danagogo also ordered Martins Amaewhule and Dumle Maol to stop parading themselves as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The court also warned against using thugs and policemen to gain access to the Assembly Complex.

The political crisis rocking the state took a new turn on Monday when about 27 lawmakers dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
