 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. Three Traditional Rulers In Oyo State D!e In Road Accident

Three traditional rulers in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State lost their lives in a road crash at the Arinkinkin area of Ogbomoso on Friday.

The three deceased Obas from the local government were; Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula, and Alayetoro of Ayetoro.

According to reports, the Obas were said to be on their way to the burial ceremony of the mother of another traditional ruler, Oloolo of Oolo, Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi, when the accident occurred following which their vehicle ramming into an oncoming truck.

Olodogbo was confirmed to have died on the spot but it was unclear at what point the other two monarchs passed away.

A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, confirmed the incident to Ogbomoso Insight Online, informing newsmen that their bodies were deposited in the hospital’s morgue.

t was revealed that the fourth victim who sustained injuries was being attended to in the hospital “but he doesn’t look like an Oba,” the source said.
