 "I was handed a Qur’an by a Muslim Proselytizer today.  Let me explain: I was at JFK Airport waiting lot because of Tarmac delay of arrival planes. I decided to come out of the vehicle and continue praying Lauds while enjoying the morning sun. I was equally admiring nature and nurture especially the vehicles at the parking lot. I noticed a young man beside a nice Lincoln Escalade pressing his phone. No contact. I kept doing my rounds praying. I added another dimension to the prayer. “Lord, I wish someone will appear from nowhere and ask me which of the vehicles will add value to my apostolate.” I would definitely point at the Escalade. Anyone who runs a hospital in Nigeria knows what a clean Escalade will help you do in one year.  As I approached my vehicle, I noticed the young man following me and calling out to me. We Will Not Disenfranchise Any J-Teach Staff - Governor Namadi


Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has assured the 4,500 temporary teachers, known as J-Teach, that the state government will not deprive any of them of employment but has insisted on an aptitude test.


He stated this while fielding questions from newsmen on the protest against aptitude test staged by the J- Teach staff. 


Governor Namadi noted that the recruitment of J-Teach to permanent teachers was designed to be done in phases and in the first phase, they aim to absorb 3,000.


" To ensure justice for all, instead  of making random selection, we organized this aptitude test for selecting the 3,000 out of the 4,500,  and those who did not scale through  will continue to work as J-Teach before next round of recruitment"


"This aptitude test is necessary to ensure only qualified candidates are recruited, and those who can't catch-up we have other plans for them including vocational training and empowerment "


Mallam Umar Namadi further explained  that, the new date for the aptitude test would be announced, but assuring that, no single candidate will be recruited outside J-Teach.
