 Site Engineer Killed in Delta by Employees After Discovering Large Sum of Money in His Account A gruesome murder has shaken the community in Delta State, Nigeria, where a site engineer, Chigozie Udalor, was killed by his employees after they discovered he had a substantial amount of money in his bank account.¹ According to the police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, the incident occurred on December 10, 2024, when Udalor's cousin, Hyacinth Nnalue, reported him missing. Nnalue stated that Udalor was the site manager at his fish pond in Bod camp Akwukwu Igbo community. The police launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of two suspects, David Tacho and Daniel Orshio, on March 31, 2025. Tacho was caught attempting to withdraw money from Udalor's account using his phone. Preliminary investigations revealed that all four suspects, including two still at large, Pius Daniel and Victor Tacho, were employed by Udalor. ARREST OF QUACK DOCTOR FOR INJECTING PREGNANT WOMAN TO DEATH



... As another notorious thug was arrested for stabbing an Imam with a sharp knife to death


The Kano State Police Command has made commendable progress in its relentless pursuit of justice. Today, we announce two major arrests in separate and highly sensitive homicide cases that have shocked the community.


2. On 20/12/2023 at about 1030hrs, report was received from one Nura Balarabe, 'm', of Tofa LGA Kano that one Ukasha Muhammed, aged 19 years, 'm', of Langel Village Tofa LGA Kano Impregnated his sister, Amina Bala, aged 19 years, 'f' of Kwanar Mahuwa Tofa LGA Kano and the said Ukasha Muhammad conspired with one Chidera Ugwu, aged 24 years, 'm' of Lanbum Banki Tofa LGA Kano and administered injections and drugs to the said Amina Balarabe with intent to cause miscarriage which resulted to her death. The suspects were arrested and confessed to the crime. Investigations revealed that the said Chidera Ugwu has allegedly been administering fatal injections to pregnant women, leading to tragic consequences. The arrest of the Quack Doctor signifies a significant breakthrough in our ongoing efforts to safeguard the lives and well-being of all the residents in the State.

In a separate incident, the Kano Police Command has apprehended a notorious thug, Yusuf Haruna AKA Lagwatsani, aged 18 years, 'm' of Dala LGA Kano responsible for the senseless murder of a renown Imam. On 31/12/2023 at about 1930hrs, report was received from one Musa Yunusa, 'm' of Jakara Quarters Kano that on the same date at about 1900hrs, the said Yusuf Haruna attacked and stabbed one Mallam Sani Mohammed Shuaibu, aged 45 years, 'm' of same address with a sharp knife at his back while performing ablution, simply because the victim warned him and his gang to stop smoking Indian hemp around the Mosque premises. As a result, the victim sustained deep injury and was rushed to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital and was confirmed dead by the Doctor. The incident shook the community, and our officers have worked tirelessly to identify and capture the assailant. This arrest is a testament to our unwavering commitment to protecting the sanctity of life and bringing justice to those affected by such heinous acts. 


4. The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, FIPMA, psc assures the public of the Command's commitment to conducting thorough investigations in both cases. In addition, we will work diligently to compile solid evidence to ensure the successful prosecution of the arrested individuals. Our objective is not only to bring the perpetrators to justice but also to serve as a deterrent to others who may contemplate such criminal actions.


5. The CP also appreciates the public's patience and trust in the Kano Police Command as we continue to investigate these horrific crimes. Together, we can bring justice to the victims and send a resounding message that criminal activities will not be tolerated in our great State.


6.  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
