Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  Bayo's last-gasp sends Guinea to AFCON quarter-finals

Mohamed Bayo scored a last-gasp as Guinea beat 10-man Equatorial Guinea 1-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON)

Bayo scored in the last minute of added time. He latched on to a brilliant cross and got his head on the ball to put it inside the right post.

Emilio Nsue missed a penalty that would have given Equatorial Guinea the lead in the 69th minute shortly after Federico Bikoro was sent off for a horrible challenge on a Guinean player.

He failed to score from the penalty spot as his shot only hit the right post.

Earlier, Morgan Guilavogui latched onto a short pass from Bayo inside the box, but clipped his shot high over the bar.

In the 82nd minute, Jesus Owono pulled off a fantastic save. Serhou Guirassy attempted to head home after a precise cross into the box. He aimed his header towards the top of the net, but the effort was kept out.

Seven minutes into added time, Guirassy received a brilliant pass and found himself one-on-one with Jesus Owono, who reacted superbly to stop him.
