NCoS Debunks Claims of Illegal Detention of Jonathan’s Domestic Staff at Okaka Centre The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) Bayelsa State Command has refuted allegations spread across social media platforms claiming the illegal detention of 15 domestic staff members of former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, at the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Okaka. In a statement released by ASC I G.T. Isari, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, the NCoS described the circulating reports as "false and misleading." These reports alleged that the staff members were detained without trial since 2019 on charges of theft and that there was a secretive meeting involving Dame Patience Jonathan and senior correctional officials in Bayelsa. “These statements are unfounded and are being spread to tarnish the image of the Nigerian Correctional Service,” Isari stated.
