 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. Entertainers are the most followed Nigerians on X for the year 2023 and David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido, leads the pack on the micro-blogging platform.
According to Statisense, 14.58 million followers are with the Afro-pop singer on his X handle @davido. Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid comes second with 12.39 million followers.
The third position is occupied by Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu known as Burna Boy. His X handle, @burnaboy attracts 9.03 million followers. @DonJazzy belonging to Michael Collins Ajereh known as Don Jazzy is next with 7.88 million followers.
A news X handle, @channelstv has 6.85 million followers. The X handle of rapper and singer Olamide, @Olamide is followed by 6.53 million X users. Coming next to it is another news platform @MobilePunch which boasts of 6.53 million followers.
