 FG reaffirms commitment to North-East inclusion in Agro-Industrial Project amid exclusion claims The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has dismissed concerns raised by the North-East Caucus of the National Assembly regarding the alleged exclusion of the region from the Federal Government's flagship agricultural initiative the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) program. The minister of agriculture and food security Sen. Abubakar Kyari made the clarification over the weekend while briefing the media. He noted that the North-East is not only included in the SAPZ program, but that several states from the region have already met the eligibility criteria for the second phase of the project. The response comes on the heels of public criticisms sparked by the recent groundbreaking ceremonies in Kaduna and Cross River states. Entertainers are the most followed Nigerians on X for the year 2023 and David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido, leads the pack on the micro-blogging platform.
According to Statisense, 14.58 million followers are with the Afro-pop singer on his X handle @davido. Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid comes second with 12.39 million followers.
The third position is occupied by Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu known as Burna Boy. His X handle, @burnaboy attracts 9.03 million followers. @DonJazzy belonging to Michael Collins Ajereh known as Don Jazzy is next with 7.88 million followers.
A news X handle, @channelstv has 6.85 million followers. The X handle of rapper and singer Olamide, @Olamide is followed by 6.53 million X users. Coming next to it is another news platform @MobilePunch which boasts of 6.53 million followers.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
