 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. DIEGO MARADONA'S SON SAYS HE'S CONVINCED HIS FATHER DID NOT DIE A NATURAL DEATH. (PHOTO).

Argentine football legend, Diego Maradona’s son, Diego Armando Maradona Junior, says he’s convinced his father did not die a natural death.

 


Diego Maradona passed away in November 2020 as a result of heart failure and pulmonary edema according to medical reports provided to his family.


Before his death, Maradona was recuperating from brain surgery at his home in Buenos Aires, Argentina.


But his son Maradona Junior says he knows the person responsible for the death of his father and will continue to fight for justice until the last day of his life.

    “There is an open investigation. We – his children – have a lot of faith in Argentine justice. I’m convinced that this should not have ended like this,” he told Mediaset.


    “They killed my father. It is not my job to say who did it, I have my own idea but I can’t say it. They left him to his fate when something could have been done. I made a promise: until the last day of my life, I’ll fight for justice.”
