 ‘Friend Of A Thief Is A Thief’, Defence Minister Warns Terrorist Sponsors The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has cautioned Nigerians against aiding terrorists, insurgents, bandits, or other criminal elements, stressing that anyone who supports criminal activities will face the full weight of the law. General Musa made the warning on Saturday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026 Golf Tournament held at the TYB Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja. Governor Mutfwang declares one-week mourning in Plateau

The Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has declared one-week of mourning in Plateau over the recent killings in the state.

Governor Mutfwang in a broadcast on his X handle said the mourning period which is from January 1 to January 8 will have the flag flown at half-mast.

He urged Muslim clerics to dedicate Friday, January 5th, 2024, and Christian Clergy to use Sunday, January 7th, 2024 as a special prayer day for lasting peace to return to the Plateau.

Gunmen had attacked several communities in the Plateau State Local Government Areas of Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi, killing many residents.
