 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated veteran Nollywood actor, Prince Jide Kosoko, on his 70th birthday.


Governor Sanwo-Olu in a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile on Saturday, described Prince Jide Kosoko, who clocked 70 on January 12, as a living legend in the movie industry. 


The Governor also described the renowned actor as a good ambassador and proud Lagosian who has used his wealth of experience and talent to bring joy to millions of homes through several movies he participated in. 


He said: "On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I join family, friends, associates and fans to congratulate Prince Jide Kosoko on his 70th birthday celebration.


"Prince Jide Kosoko is a veteran Nollywood actor who has used acting as a tool to spread joy across many homes within and outside the country. He has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the entertainment industry. 


"We thank God for the grace upon Prince Jide Kosoko's life and for using acting as a tool for a good cause in our society. He is a role model to thousands of young Nigerians in the movie industry.


"I wish Prince Jide Kosoko all the very best on his 70th birthday. We thank God for his life and good health. We wish him long life and prosperity in good health.
