 Shehu Sani Accuses Past Administration Of Auctioning L.E.A Primary School In Kaduna To Build Showroom, Backs Gov Uba Sani's Halt On Sale Of School Lands Former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani, has backed Governor Uba Sani’s revocation of sales of houses within the legacy public schools in Kaduna State. Shehu Sani stated that the previous administration auctioned a whole L.E.A primary school inside Kaduna to a businessman to build his showroom. Recall that Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, had revoked previous sales of institutional houses and land allocations within Alhuda-huda College, Zaria, Queen Amina College, Kaduna and Government Commercial College, Zaria. Gunmen abduct council chairman in Nasarawa state

The Council Chairman Of Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa Mr. Safiyanu Isa Andaha has been kidnapped by gunmen.

Confirming the incident, Special Adviser to the Nasarawa State Governor on Local G noovernment and Chieftaincy Affairs Mr Haruna Kassimu said Mr Safiyanu Isa was abducted at Ningo village on the Akwanga – Andaha road in the Akwanga Local government area of the state along with one Alhaji Adamu Custom 

He noted that security agencies had responded swiftly by chasing after the gunmen who forcefully fled with the council chairman to an unknown destination.

In a telephone interview, the State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Ramhan Nansel said the police in collaboration with other security agencies were on the trail of the kidnappers to ensure the release of the council chairman and the other victim.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
