 PRESS RELEASE FCT POLICE BUST CAR THEFT SYNDICATE, RECOVER TWO STOLEN VEHICLES, AND ARREST THREE SUSPECTS. …as suspects confess to refurbishing and reselling stolen vehicles as newer models On April 11, 2025, following a distress call received by Durumi Division regarding the theft of a Toyota Corolla, 2005 model, gold in colour, with registration number KUJ 208 DA, stolen from the owner’s residence, operatives of the Division immediately swung into action. The vehicle was tracked to a workshop in Durumi, where it was discovered undergoing illegal refurbishment. The colour was being altered in an attempt to evade detection and facilitate a quick resale. A further search of the premises led to the recovery of another suspected stolen vehicle—a red Toyota Corolla with registration number GWA 844 CK—previously reported stolen from a residence in Jikwoyi.  “I love you to the end of the world” – Late Alaafin’s wife, Queen Dami pens appreciation note to Portable.


Queen Dami, the late Alaafin of Oyo’s wife, has left people speechless with an appreciation message she wrote to Street Pop sensation Portable.


Queen Dami gently poured her heart out to Portable, whom she referred to as “her king,” as she wished him a happy New Year.


She also thanked the musician for teaching her the value of love and affection.


She expressed her love for Portable, saying she was grateful to God and considered herself fortunate to have him.


She wrote: “My king, Thank you for teaching me the meaning of love and affection and loving me unconditionally every day. I love you with all my heart and soul. I am thankful to God and to my lucky stars for having you as my Man. I love you to the end of the world❤️ see you in 2024 AMEN.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
