 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area.  Inferno Claims Family Of Seven In Kano


A late night fire, has led to the death of seven family members, while one sustained various degree of injuries at Tudun wada quarters, Nasarawa local government area, Kano.


 Executive Secretary, Kano state emergency management agency (SEMA),Alhaji Isiyaku Abdullahi Kubarachi confirmed the incident to Radio Nigeria in Kano.


According to him, the midnight  fire was triggered by electric fault, which led to the death of Malam Shu'aibu and his family.


He stressed that, the fire started from the living room, where the family moved to the inner room, and all efforts by neighbors to rescue them, proved abortive as they were suffocated by smoke.


Alhaji Isiyaku pointed out that, the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), had visited the scene, and had directed it's staff to compile a comprehensive  report, for onward submission to the state government for necessary action. 


The Executive Secretary, urged relatives of the deceased to consider the tragedy as the will of God and prayed for the repose of their souls. 


He charged residents to handle fire and electric appliances with care to avoid inferno.
