 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Mutfwang imposes 24-hour curfew on Plateau council

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has declared a 24-hour curfew on Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State due to the deteriorating security conditions in the area.
Gyang Bere, the Governor’s spokesperson, in a statement explained the move was to prevent breakdown of law and order in the local government following discussions with security agencies.
He urged residents to observe the sit-at-home directive while only those who must travel inside the local government area for urgent needs are permitted to do so. 
The Governor bemoaned the fact that in spite of government attempts to curtail terror elements’ activities, certain persons remain determined to sow seeds of fear throughout the state.
He said that the curfew will be revisited as soon as the security situation improves.
