 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

Nigeria Lady, Amarachi, commits su!c!de 

She is a staff member of Globus Bank, Ikorodu, Lagos.

She left a su!c!de note where she listed the reasons why she t00k her l!fe.

According to another source

This afternoon, A female marketing staff of Globus bank, Ikorodu, Lagos, Amarachi Ugochukwu who is said to be just 32yrs was found dea.d in the staff toilet.

They said her phone she left on her table kept ringing which made her colleagues to start looking for her.

They were later to find the office toilet door was locked from behind...door was forcefully opened and her motionless body with an empty medium sized SNI¶¶ER bottle and a diary where she wrote left a $uicide note.

    Her soul can never rest in peace because she took her life by herself not the mother who has laboured so hard on her to become somebody in life.
    No matter what happens don't take your life by yourself.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
