 GOVERNOR UZODIMMA CALLS FOR LOVE, UNITY, HIGHLIGHTS PROGRESS IN IMO STATE  In his Easter message delivered after the Holy Eucharist at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish in Omuma, Oru East LGA, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma CON, emphasized the central theme of the Easter season — Love. The Governor called on citizens to extend the spirit of Easter beyond mere celebration, encouraging them to embody love, unity, and compassion in their daily interactions and civic responsibilities. He commended the people of Imo State for their steadfast commitment to these virtues and urged continued efforts to promote a caring and united society.  ‘No gree for anybody’ slogan breeding violence, revenge culture – Alex Ekubo


Seasoned actor Alex Ekubo has disapproved of the continual usage of the viral ‘No gree for anybody’ slogan. 

The interpretation of the slogan simply means that someone will stand firm by his or her convictions and not easily give in to others.

Alex, in a post via his Instagram page on Monday, reasoned that the slogan is causing more harm than good and it is equally breeding violence and fostering revenge culture.

Advising Nigerians, he said they should shun the slogan and be more tolerant, kind, and considerate towards each other.

He also urged Nigerians to be intentional about their health and wealth.

He wrote: “I took time out to introspect, meditate & self-care. As I crawl out of my solemn place, I can see the same negativity, & “gbas gbos” that has stunted our progress. As you may or may not have noticed, the only description of me on my socials is Human Being.

“In a world where everyone is obsessed with titles (nothing wrong with that btw, we are losing our humanity. I now identify as Human Being. Feel free to call me that whenever. The world needs more humanity.

“Pls what’s “no gree for anybody” I’m seeing everywhere, it’s breeding violence & fostering revenge culture. Instead, can we be more tolerable & considerate towards each other. Be kind, everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

“Be intentional about 2 things, because they affect you whether you like it or not, Health & Wealth. When you start taking care of yourself, you start feeling better, looking better, & you start to attract better. It starts with you. Focus on your Focus. You can do it. Determination is stronger than witchcraft.

“Life is not fair. Expecting life to be fair to you, because you are fair is like expecting a lion not to eat you, because you don’t eat Lion. We are different people, raised under different circumstances, with different degrees of luck.

“Life will show us different variations of “shege” everyone has their unique experience with how the world works. Don’t expect everyone to think & act like you.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
