 PICTORIAL: 15-Year-Old Nigerian Kid Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Canvas Painting 15-year-old Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, an autistic Nigerian prodigy, has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest painting on a canvas, measuring 12,303 square meters.  The artwork was unveiled at Eagle Square, Abuja, on April 2, coinciding with World Autism Awareness Day.  The event was attended by dignitaries, art enthusiasts, and autism advocates.  Tagbo-Okeke was officially presented with his GWR certificate, marking a historic achievement.   His father expressed pride, calling it a testament to his son's determination and the limitless potential of individuals with autism.  Only Africans won't accept blessings for same-sex couples -- Pope


Pope Francis  has expressed confidence that critics of blessings for same-sex couples, except Africans, would gradually accept  his position.

According to Reuters, the pope said in an interview published on Monday that Africans were a “special case” in the opposition of bishops and many other people in the continent to homosexuality.

The pope  allowed blessings  last month in a document called Fiducia Supplicans (Supplicating Trust),. This caused a debate within  the Catholic Church.

“Those who protest vehemently belong to small ideological groups,” Francis told Italian newspaper La Stampa. “A special case are Africans: for them homosexuality is something ‘bad’ from a cultural point of view, they don’t tolerate it

“But in general, I trust that gradually everyone will be reassured by the spirit of the ‘Fiducia Supplicans’ declaration by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith: it aims to include, not divide,” the pope said.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
