 A Texas woman was ordered to stop walking away from the police. Instead, she strangled a kitten until its neck was broken. Authorities stepped in to end its suffering.  The sad events in this story took place in Beaumont, Texas, on September 10th. On that Thursday evening, officers with the Beaumont Police Department were called to a domestic situation that ended in a physical struggle to save a kitten's life.   Sadly, the officers attempts were unsuccessful.  The events began when 45-year-old Heather Broussard's boyfriend contacted authorities for a welfare check. He reported that Heather was possibly a danger to herself.  He told dispatchers that he was following behind her as she walked down Binger Road. Supreme Court Affirms The Election Of Uba Sani As Governor Of Kaduna State 

The supreme court has affirmed Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the duly elected governor of Kaduna.

A five-member panel of the apex court unanimously dismissed the appeal filed by Mohammed Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for lacking merit.

Justice Tijjani Abubakar, who read the lead judgment, held that the appellant‘s appeal was frivolous and vexatious and lacked merit.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Sani as winner of the poll after he scored 730, 001 votes to defeat Ashiru, who polled 719, 196 votes in the March 18 governorship election.
