 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. TROOPS RAID TERRORISTS' HIDEOUT IN KEBBI STATE RESCUE KIDNAPPED PERSONS 



Troops of  8 Division, Nigerian Army, in conjunction with operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) including local vigilantes in the early hours of today raided terrorists' camp and successfully rescued 4 kidnapped persons and recovered arms and ammunition.


The raid operation was conducted in the identified terrorists' hideout at Sabon Gari Village in Shanga LGA of Kebbi state. During the operation, troops neutralized one of the terrorists and extricated 4  kidnap victims. The troops also recovered 3 AK 47 rifles, 3 Magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition and 2 pairs of camouflage uniforms.


All the rescued victims who are 4 males have since been reunited with their families, while troops continued to trail the wounded and fleeing terrorists.
