 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. TROOPS RAID TERRORISTS' HIDEOUT IN KEBBI STATE RESCUE KIDNAPPED PERSONS 



Troops of  8 Division, Nigerian Army, in conjunction with operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) including local vigilantes in the early hours of today raided terrorists' camp and successfully rescued 4 kidnapped persons and recovered arms and ammunition.


The raid operation was conducted in the identified terrorists' hideout at Sabon Gari Village in Shanga LGA of Kebbi state. During the operation, troops neutralized one of the terrorists and extricated 4  kidnap victims. The troops also recovered 3 AK 47 rifles, 3 Magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition and 2 pairs of camouflage uniforms.


All the rescued victims who are 4 males have since been reunited with their families, while troops continued to trail the wounded and fleeing terrorists.
