 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. Yul Edochie Pens Tribute On Late Son's Posthumous Birthday

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has penned a heartfelt note on what would have been his late son Kambilichukwu's 17th birthday. 

Expressing his grief on his Instagram account on Thursday, Yul expressed the pain of losing a son and recounts a dream where Kambi appeared taller, handsome, and joyful. 

Yul also acknowledged the difficulty of life without his son but emphasises his strength for the sake of his siblings, relying on God's will.

He wrote, "Kambi yooooo! Happy 17th birthday, my great son.Hope you’re doing well over there.I never knew I’ll ever do a write-up like this, but here we are. Life.

"I kept asking God to let me see you again, and he granted my wish. And I saw you once in my dream. You looked much taller and more handsome. And bigger. You were glowing. Seems you’re now playing basketball over there and left football. You looked very happy.

"Obviously, life over there is quite different from here. Down here, we’re doing our best to cope. It’s not been easy without you around. The pain is terrible. But I’m strong. Very strong. I have to be strong for me and your siblings. While submitting totally to the will of God.

'We miss you. We love you, but God loves you more. You’re elevated now. Keep watching over us all. Keep flying, son. Till we meet again. Don’t stop playing football. Happy 17th birthday, Son. Daddy loves you.”

Recall that Yul and his estranged wife, May lost their first son, in January.

According to reports, Kambilichukwu had read throughout the night in preparation for his exams. After his examination, he joined his friends to play football, where he slumped and developed a seizure and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
