 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   President Tinubu Reconstitutes the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), following the Senate's confirmation of its members on December 16.   Members of the reconstituted Board are:   • Mulisiu Olalekan Oseni, PhD. — Chairman   Dr Oseni started his service as a Commissioner in January 2017. He was subsequently appointed Vice Chairman of the Commission.   His appointment as Chairman took effect from 1 December 2025 and shall subsist until the completion of his ten-year tenure at the Commission, in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2023.   • Yusuf Ali, PhD. — Vice Chairman   Dr Ali was first appointed as a Commissioner in February 2022. 34-YEAR-OLD MAN BITTEN BY HIS PET TO DEATH IN COLORADO. (PHOTO).

 34-year-old Colorado man sadly dies after being bitten by his pet Gila monster. The last reported lethal bite was in 1930. 


According to reports the unidentified man had 2 pet Gila monsters. He was bitten by a small juvenile on Feb. 12th and hospitalized. Unfortunately he passed away on Friday. The Jefferson County Colorado Coroner confirmed he passed away as a result of the bite from his pet.


Gila monsters are venomous and their bites are rarely lethal however they are very painful. The last case of someone passing away as a result of a Gila monster bite was in 1930.


Both Gila monsters have been confiscated and the venom will be extracted to try to figure out why it caused this fatality. Gila monsters are illegal to own without a license in Colorado. Officials say this is a reminder how dangerous it can be to possess poisonous animals.
