 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. 34-YEAR-OLD MAN BITTEN BY HIS PET TO DEATH IN COLORADO. (PHOTO).

 34-year-old Colorado man sadly dies after being bitten by his pet Gila monster. The last reported lethal bite was in 1930. 


According to reports the unidentified man had 2 pet Gila monsters. He was bitten by a small juvenile on Feb. 12th and hospitalized. Unfortunately he passed away on Friday. The Jefferson County Colorado Coroner confirmed he passed away as a result of the bite from his pet.


Gila monsters are venomous and their bites are rarely lethal however they are very painful. The last case of someone passing away as a result of a Gila monster bite was in 1930.


Both Gila monsters have been confiscated and the venom will be extracted to try to figure out why it caused this fatality. Gila monsters are illegal to own without a license in Colorado. Officials say this is a reminder how dangerous it can be to possess poisonous animals.
