 FEDERAL MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND NATIONAL ORIENTATION  PRESS STATEMENT  BINANCE FALSE CLAIM ON BRIBERY DIVERSIONARY  The Federal Government of Nigeria is aware of attempts by Binance to launder its impaired image as an organisation that does not play by the rules and laws guiding business conduct in sovereign nations. In a blog post that has now been published by many international media organisations, in an apparent well-coordinated public relations effort, Binance Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng made false allegations of bribery against unidentified Nigerian government officials who he claimed demanded $150m in cryptocurrency payments to resolve the ongoing criminal investigation against the company.  This claim by Binance CEO lacks any iota of substance. It is nothing but a diversionary tactic and an attempted act of blackmail by a company desperate to obfuscate the grievous criminal charges it is facing in Nigeria. Adachukwu Okafor in Police Net, Set To Be Arraigned In Court In Awka.

One Adachukwu Okafor, the alleged abuser of her 11-year-old housekeeper, has surrendered herself to the Anambra Police Command in Awka. 


 Recall that the suspect, who is currently in police net, used knives and other sharp objects to inflict injuries on her 11-year-old housekeeper. 


This took place after she was declared wanted and a bounty of two million naira placed on her. 


Speaking on the development, the Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon Ify Obinabo stated that the suspect Adachukwu will be arraigned before the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate court in Awka next week. 


Meanwhile, the 11-year-old Happiness Nwafor is set to be discharged from the hospital. 


The Women Affairs boss visited the survivor to see how she's doing and further interacted with her. 


Happiness Nwafor appreciated the state government and urged that her perpetrator be severely punished
