 NDLEA destroys largest seizure of 1.6m kilograms illicit drugs seized in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo …Times have changed, we’re fully prepared to hold those who defy the law accountable, Marwa warns barons, traffickers The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has destroyed heaps of illicit drugs weighing about 1.6 million kilograms of assorted illicit substances seized across Lagos, Ogun and Oyo state, in what is till date the largest volume of seizures to be set ablaze at a time in the history of the Agency.  The public destruction of the illicit substances witnessed by representatives of government officials, traditional rulers, clergymen, other security agencies, international partners, NGOs and community leaders, among others, was conducted at an isolated location at Ipara, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun state on Saturday 12th April 2025. For the first time ever in history, the 'clear photograph' of an ant is released and that's how it looks - the very same insect roaming inside your house, garden and everywhere!

The close-up portrait of an ant was clicked by photographer Eugenijus Kavaliauskas and he won a prize for the capture at 2022 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition that was magnified five times under a microscope!

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
