 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.  EPL: I’m pushing Osimhen to join Chelsea, he loves the club – Mikel Obi


Former Super Eagles midfielder, John Obi Mikel, has joked that he is the agent to Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen and said he is trying to get him to join Chelsea.


Osimhen is expected to cost his next club as much as €130million, which is the value of his release clause.


However, Mikel Obi admits that the Blues face interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.


Mikel said: “I think there’s genuine interest between both (Chelsea and Osimhen).


“I think he loves the club, he wants to come to the club, obviously he wants to follow in my footsteps as a Nigerian player who has played for Chelsea, like Victor Moses, Celestine Babayaro, there’s not a lot of us.


“But he also has a lot of interest, like PSG, Man United, but I’m still pushing, sending him messages, trying to make sure he doesn’t expect too much, just narrow your mind on one club: The Blues!”

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
