 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.  Ethiopia PM to 'respect' other nations' sovereignty


Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed says he will "respect" other countries' sovereignty.


Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has pledged to respect other countries' sovereignty on the back of a dispute with the neighbouring Somalia over a port deal Ethiopia signed with Somaliland.


Abiy made the commitment in Kenya's capital Nairobi on Wednesday during his two-day state visit to Kenya from February 27 to 29.


After meeting host President William Ruto, the two leaders "affirmed their commitment to recognise, respect and uphold the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states."


A joint statement by Kenya's and Ethiopia's foreign ministries added that Ruto and Abiy "reject unconstitutional changes of government as well as interference in domestic political processes of African countries by external interests."
