OVER 25 MILLION PHONES STOLEN IN ONE YEAR- FG. (PHOTO).

 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. FEDERAL LAWMAKER RECONSTRUCTS 9 HEALTH CENTERS, 20 MOSQUES, INSTALLS 50 SOLAR STREET LIGHTS IN ZAMFARA. (PHOTO).


 Federal Lawmaker Reconstructs 9 Health Centers, 20 Mosques, Installs 50 Solar Street Lights in Zamfara 


A member representing Maru/ Bungudu federal constituency, Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannah, has construct and renovated nine health facilities in his constituency.


The Legislative Aid  to the Law Maker Malam Jamilu Umar Bungudu made this known while conducting members of the Correspondent's Chapel round the facilities in Bungudu local government area of the state.


Abdulmalik Zanna  has also equiped Kotorkoshi  Primary Health Care Center with fifty Sick Beds, mattresses, laboratory facilities, Surgery equipments and other needful drugs to compliment government efforts in providing healthcare services to the common man.


He added that, the hospital was part of the nine health facilities renovated by the lawmaker in Maru and Bungudu local government areas of the state.


Jamilu Bungudu further explained that,  an Ultra Modern Community Women and Children Hospital was built and equiped in Bungudu town, as part of his efforts to promote rural healthcare services.


Most of the beneficieries of such projects have express their views and thanked the law Maker for providing the devidents  of democracy to them and urged other political office holders to borrow leaf from him.


In a related development, the law Maker has also spent over ten million naira for the reconstruction of a modern mosque at Federal Medical Center Gusau which is part of the 20 mosques and fifteen Islamiyya Schools reconstructed by the member representing Maru/Bungudu, Abdulmalik Zanna.


Similarly, the law Maker has also installed fifty solar Street lights in Nahuche village of Bungudu local government area  to assist in curving the issue of banditry, kidnapping and other related crimes.

 

In an interview with the law maker said that more are coming especially in the areas of empowerment, scholarship and general welfare.
