 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state.  FG begins payment of ASUU’s withheld salaries


The Federal Government has commenced the payment of the withheld salaries of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).


ASUU’s chairperson at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Prof. Gbolahan Bolarin, who confirmed the development said: “Yes, it is true. Payment has started rolling in.”


President Bola Tinubu in October 2023 approved the release of four of the eight months’ ASUU withheld salaries of the workers.


The salaries were withheld when the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari invoked a ‘No Work, No Pay policy’ against some university-based unions that embarked on a strike, which lasted for eight months in 2022.
