 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  FIRST LADY OF THE FEDERATION TO VISIT IMO TOMORROW



-SET TO FLAG OFF THE RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE SOCIAL INVESTMENT PROGRAMME FOR SOUTHEAST REGION 


In response to the economic challenges, the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu CON, will tomorrow, 28th February 2024, flag off the Southeast Renewed Hope Initiative.


This initiative is aimed at empowering women in the rural areas through agricultural initiatives social investment programme 


The support program for the South-Eastern Geopolitical zone will be unveiled before the First Lady of Imo State, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma and other Governor's Wives across the South-East region. 


The Initiative Women Agricultural Support Programme seeks to address these challenges by providing targeted support to women farmers. 


The program includes provisions for access to land, training in modern agricultural techniques, financial assistance, and market linkages. By empowering women in agriculture, the initiative aims to enhance food security, reduce poverty, and promote gender equality in Imo State and the South-Eastern region.
