 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down.  Georgia mother arrested in the drowning death of her 1-year-old who fell into a hole filled with water while her mom was grilling.


34-year-old Alisha Stevens was arrested on Monday and charged with second degree murder in the drowning death of her 1-year-old daughter.


According to authorities, the Burke County Sheriff's office responded to the call of an unresponsive child at around 12:45 p.m. on Monday. Once on scene, they found someone attempting CPR on a small child. First responders immediately took over and transported the child to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.


An Investigation into the death revealed that Alisha whom is the mother of 5 children had left the child unattended during a cookout. The child had fallen into an approximately 4 ft deep hole that had been dug at some point and had filled with water.


Officials determined Alisha had been grilling while letting her daughter run around their property unsupervised. Alisha noticed the child missing and went looking for her only to find her unresponsive in the hole.


The family contends it was only an accident that could have happened to anyone and the family is struggling with this loss. They believe the charges against Alisha are unjustified. 


However as of writing this story, Alisha remains in the Burke County detention center without bond.


How do you feel about this story? I remember when my children were 12 months old or a little older and they still could not walk very far without tumbling. But it has admittedly been two decades since I've had children that little.


I would consider this more of a negligent homicide charge then a second degree murder charge but that's just my opinion.
